Most customers replace a boiler because their existing one is old, inefficient or no longer worth repairing, others are simply upgrading, or moving into a home that relies on oil for the first time. Whatever the reason, getting the sizing and installation right from the start ensures your new system performs as well as possible, works efficiently so it doesn’t cost you more than it needs to, and meets current standards too.

Installation starts with a visit from one of our surveyors. They’ll take measurements, assess your existing system, check your oil tank to make sure it meets current regulations and is in a suitable condition for the new boiler to be connected, and then talk through your requirements. We’ll then send you the full quote within a few days.

HOW IT WORKS

What happens on installation day?

Once you’re booked in, our engineer will remove your old boiler where needed, fit the new one and its controls, and connect everything up to your home’s oil, heating, and hot water systems. As part of the install, they’ll also check your oil tank to make sure it meets current regulations and is in a suitable condition for the new boiler to be connected.

The engineer will then fully test, commission, and check your new boiler against current regulation and requirements, before talking you through how everything works. Our admin team will also make sure everything is registered for you, to make the most of those extended warranties.

Friendly and professional engineers. Had a service done and it looks like a slight pressure issue has been resolved along with a noise from the circulation pump! Well happy! Although I think they normally have one engineer for a service, in this case they happened to be together on the day. I'd happily have either one (Ryan or Matt) back if needed regarding my ASHP system.

I’ve hired Blue Flame several times for boilers and plumbing and have always been happy with their work.

Recently they rectified some poor-quality pipework left by a previous builder. Their work was a vast improvement and, during the process, they discovered a cracked sewer pipe the previous builder hadn’t mentioned. By catching this early, Blue Flame saved me from the nightmare of installing a new bathroom only to have to rip it out later to fix a leak.

On one occasion a piece of work had to be redone but I am still happy to give them 5 stars because they took full responsibility and rectified it promptly without any fuss. Also, the staff are consistently knowledgeable, polite and professional. I fully intend to use them for future work.

Excellent service. The receptionist's are extremely polite and helpful. We've started a breakdown cover with them, the Daikin air source heating system was checked and serviced first, Matt the engineer is very knowledgeable and explained everything well. We only ask that you make sure that the installation area is accessible and clear.

Before installation, we always send a surveyor over to check your existing system and measurements.

We cover gas, oil and LPG heating systems, plus hot water cylinders and ongoing maintenance. Not sure which applies to you? Just tell us what’s going on and we’ll point you the right way.

Correct sizing, system preparation, pipework, controls, flue installation and commissioning all affect how well your new system will perform. Getting these wrong is the difference between a noisy and inefficient boiler and one that works as it should!
